Centre for Disabled
Sir, —I write in response to a letter published on August 26 about the Centre for the Disabled in Worcester Street. I wish to make the following points: (1) The site is owned by the Crown, not the Canterbury Education Board. It is administered by the board on behalf of the Crown and the Department of Education. (2) Departmental officers carried out a very thorough investigation of all options for the relocation of Four Avenues School. The board’s implied criticism of hardworking staff is unjustified.—Yours, etc., (Ms) NOELENE A.
MACDONALD, Regional Superintendent of Education. August 28,1989.
