Robt Jones meeting
PA Wellington Robt Jones Holdings has called an extraordinary general meeting on Friday — to correct a drafting error in its company rules. The company has advertised the meeting to amend its memorandum of association to put it in line with the Companies Act. A special resolution to be proposed deletes a jilause which says "the liabdty of the company Is llmitM” to
limit the liability of members. The present wording did not line up with the Companies Act, Robt Jones Investments (the listed company) managing director, Mr David Moriarty, said. But asked what the company’s operations were, Mr Moriarty declined to say. “It’s a private company belonging to Sir Robert Jones and that’s his business,” Mr Moriarty said.
