The Storm

By

TOM SHAND

The sea lapped against the beach. The wind howled through the palm trees. Dolphins swam out in the bay. Little did they know a storm was threatening. Up on a cliff a wolf howled. Seagulls drifted through the grey sky. In the distance thunder was heard. A streak of lightning flashed across the sky. Then it came. The rain. The sea, which was blue and calm, had turned to grey and rough. The palm trees bent like dead flowers. This went on all night. The next day, dewcovered trees swayed in the morning breeze after the nightmare of the past.
