Avonhead and Shirley share the lead in the Fright Aubrey pre-season inter-club men’s tennis competition after the second round was played at the Indoor Centre on Sunday evening. Both teams took straight wins although Shirley's pairing of Brett Hibbert and Hamish Faulls was pushed to three sets by the youthful combination of James and Justin O’Malley, of Te Kura.
