Workshop on circle dancing to be held

Roger Potter, who brought circle dance to Christchurch from England 20 months ago will lead a holistic circle dance workshop this Saturday, August 26.

Circle dance is a form of international folk dancing, done in a circle to European folk tunes. The steps are easy to learn. The workshop will be in the Workers Educational Association rooms at 59 Gloucester Street, from 11 a.m. to 4.20 p.m. The fee is $2O. Please bring a vegetarian dish for a shared lunch. Gregorian chant Schola Cantorum is a small, friendly choir specialising in Gregorian chant or plainsong, and other sacred music from the medieval and renaissance times. 1! was started two years ago by conductor Harry Abbenhuis, who also conducts the Christchurch Youth Choir.
