Body exhumed
NZPA-Reuter Jerusalem
The Israeli Army on Saturday exhumed the beaten body of a Pales-tinian-American boy in an attempt to disprove allegations that its troops shot him dead in the occupied West Bank town of Ramallah.
In clashes linked to the 20-month Palestinian uprising, witnesses said troops in Bethlehem and the Gaza Strip shot dead two Arabs while Palestinians near Nablus killed an Arab village leader suspected of collaborating with the Israelis. Palestinians accused the Army of killing a United States citizen, Amjad Hussein Jibreen, aged 14, and dumping his body, found with cigarette burns and severe blows to the head, in hills outside Ramallah.
