Police dogs catch man
Police dogs tracked and caught a man, aged 31, suspected of breaking into a house in Shirley yesterday. The police were called when a person was observed climbing through the window of a Hercules Street address. The man ran off through neighbouring properties before being apprehended. He was treated for dog bites at Christchurch Hospital. The man will appear in the District Court today, charged with burglary.
