Fire closes nightclub

The Palladium Nightclub did not open on Saturday evening after a small fire broke out in its lighting system. Five engines were called to the Gloucester Street nightspot when an electrical fault caused the fire at 8 p.m. Replacement components had to be imported and the club would probably be closed until later this week, the owner, Mr lan MacKenzie, said yesterday.
