Family Court video launched
A Christchurch-made video offering advice and information on Family Court matters was launched by the Prime Minister, Mr Palmer, at the Canterbury Provincial Council Chamber on Saturday. The video, made at the Christchurch Polytechnic, is the first of a planned series to explain aspects of the Family Court. The 21-minute tape will
be distributed to all centres with Family Courts, and will be available to community groups. A counselling co-ordina-tor with the Family Court in Christchurch, Mrs Dianne France, said the first tape provided information on where to seek help if a couple felt their relationship was in trouble and provided guidelines on what they
needed to' do at the time of separation. It also explained the work of Family Court counsellors, counselling co-ordinators, and lawyers. Mrs France said it was planned to publicly screen the tape on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at Chancery House, 329 Durham Street, at 11 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
