Art conference for Chch
Christchurch art teachers are gearing up for a big international art teachers’ conference in the city next year. Ms Bronwyn Taylor, a Christchurch College of Education lecturer, said a new group would be formed to represent art teachers and prepare for the conference at the University of Canterbury in May.
Art teachers had previously been represented by ary art teachers from polytechnics and art schools from throughout the country. She said the conference would have international guest speakers, and
overseas guests, including art theorists. She said that the new association might grow into a' national organisation if there was sufficient interest.
