A.C.C. pay-outs ‘insulting’
PA Auckland A former senior claims and rehabilitation officer for the Accident Compensation Corporation favours the reinstatement of the right to sue for accident damages. Mr Richard Horner, who worked for the corporation for nine years, said lump-sum payments
were an insult. He fears accident victims will lose even more when longterm sickness is included in the compensation scheme. The right to sue for compensation in accident cases was abolished under the Accident Compensation Act, 1972. Mr Horner said the cor--1
