Continuity of production and inventory management is monitored using a mainframe based information system (M.R.P. II). The ready access and integrity of . data in this system allows us to utilise just-in-time delivery of all inwards goods with principal accountability for effectiveness resting with the Purchasing function. Experience with M.R.P. or a similar manufacturing system is therefore essential. This senior position requires a purchasing specialist with proven commercial negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively with a number of internal contacts.
