The minimum qualifications on appointment are the Ph.D degree and a professional qualification in clinical psychology. Preference may, although not necessarily, be given to applicants with expertise in the area of child and family psychology. The salary for Lecturers is on a scale from $35,000 to $42,500 (bar), and a range from $44,000 to $46,000 per annum. Applications close on October 31, 1989. The appointee' will have native or near-native fluency in Japanese and will be able to communicate effectively in English. Teaching duties will be principally in modern Japanese language.
