Stunning new image
KIRSLY WATKINS
Everyone is guilty at some stage in their life of looking into the mirror and being shocked at what looks back. You feel tired of looking the same each day and dream of a new image. This transformation became a reality for Jane Prestidge early last week. Jane came into the model agency wanting to learn more about hair, make-up and how to style her wardrobe. She began her day at Westside Studio, where Peter Bannan took her “before” photographs. We then proceded down to Ruben Blades for a consultation with Edward. Edward spoke to Jane
about styles and colours that would flatter her face shape and colouring. He also talked about her lifestyle to ensure Jane would be able to cope with her hair after leaving the salon. With her new cut and colour complete we than began a make-up consultation with Fiona. Fiona’s training in colour consultancy helped her select the make-up range to complement Jane’s skin. Her good features were highlighted and her bad features concealed with careful shading. Eyes were emphasised with well-blended shadow, creating a soft and natural look. Her lips were filled in
with a matt lipstick and her upper lip was made fuller to balance the lower lip. With her new hairstyle and make-up, Jane then went for her consultation with Barbara Pidcock who went through her personal style, working towards building her wardrobe. Body shape, face shape and body angles all contributed to the fabrics and styles that are best worn by Jane. We then returned to the photographic studio for the final stage of Jane’s new image. Hair by EDWARD RAPLEY from Ruben Blades. Make-up by FIONA FLETCHER. Photography by PETER BANNAN.
