Greyhounds Jazzy Monaro top prospect
Although Jazzy Monaro has put in mixed performances recently, it should be the best prospect in an even line-up to contest the Waikato Sprint, the first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Waikato Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting at Claudelands Raceway today.
Jazzy Monaro has compiled a handy record at Claudelands, and as a laststart winner there, the dog should be prominent again today. South Island punters will no doubt be supporting the very much in-form Bert Hinkler, but his lack of experience on the track may count against him. It is a field with plenty of form and luck in the running is sure to play a part, so those which have drawn handy to the rail, such as Survivalist and Colonel Melody, must have an advantage. Shamrock Monaro appears the obvious choice in the Claudelands Sprint, the second leg of the T.A.B. double, after having just been defeated in his last two starts.
