$l7 million robbery Two bogus policemen held up a top jewellery store in Cannes on the French Riviera and escaped with at least SUSIO million (SNZI7.2 million) worth of gems, police said. They said the robbers cleaned out the elegant Van Cleef and Arpels boutique in Cannes on Wednesday, leaving behind only one necklace valued at $U5156,000 ($NZ269,000). — NZPA-Reuter. Test for Cuba The United States has asked the Cuban Government for the results of its investigation into the drug smuggling case that resulted in the execution of four Cuban officials, a State Department official said in Washington.
