Hagley stables get permit

By

JANE DUNBAR

The Riccarton Borough Council has given permission for stables to be set up temporarily on the corner of Deans Avenue and Blenheim Road. The Canterbury Saleyards Garage will be used

as the temporary site while an application is processed by the Christchurch City Council to provide facilities in Hagley Park. Ms Maryrose Leversedge has applied to set up horse riding facilities

in Hagley Park and run a commercial horse-riding school. The City Council has given her permission to begin the business on trial in South Hagley Park. It might later consider stables in the park.
