Responsibilities would include regular health surveys of company personnel, involvement in personal and environmental monitoring, maintaining a health and safety information service, management of the company medical centre and its personnel, and advising the General Manager on health administrative matters. There will be opportunity for research in occupational health areas relevant to the aluminium industry. The appointee will work in association with the current part-time medical consultant. He/ she should have a background of general clinical practice including some experience in musculoskeletal medicine. A post graduate qualification in occupationai/industrial health would be an advantage. The company will be prepared to facilitate the gaining of relevant further experience and/or training in particular areas for an otherwise well qualified applicant.
