Warratahs LP, ticket contest
Two Warratahs albums, two cassettes, and four double passes to see the Wellington band when they perform in Christchurch next week are up for grabs in a "What’s On” competition. The Warratahs are on a New Zealand tour at present to promote their latest LP, "Too Hot To Sleep,” the follow-up to their debut, "The Only Game In Town.” The country-inspired five-piece will be performing at Christchurch hotels next Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The group will also be playing further south, at Timaru this evening and at Ashburton on August 7. Those wishing to enter a draw for the tickets,
albums and tapes are asked to give the names of the Warratahs’ two albums. They should put the answer, along with their name, address, and telephone number on the back of an envelope and send it to What’s On, “The Press,” Private Bag, Christchurch. The competition will close on Tuesday, August 1. Employees of the Christchurch Press Company and immediate family are not eligible to enter. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be notified and their names published in “What’s On” on Friday, August 4.
