Shots fired at truck, garage window
Shots were fired through a service station window and a truck windshield in Culverden early yesterday. Senior Constable Grahame Fletcher said the shots were probably fired about 1.30 a.m. when the alarm at Mockett Motors went off. Two bullet holes were found in a display window at the premises at the south end of Culverden. Constable Fletcher said a shot was also fired through the windshield of a large Volvo truck parked in a yard at the other end of town. The shots were probably fired from either a .22 rifle or a high-powered air rifle, he said. No shots were heard, indicating it was more likely to have been an air rifle. Constable Fletcher said he suspected the shots were fired from a vehicle while being driven through the township.
