Mamet play

As part of its “Caught in the Act,” one-act play season, the University Drama Society is presenting “Sexual Perversity in Chicago,” a play by the prizewinning American, David Mamet. Mamet’s best known play “Glengarry Glen Ross,” had a season in the Court Theatre earlier this year. “Sexual Perversity” is Mamet’s funniest play, though it is not mere comedy. It examines with a very perceptive eye, the less attractive sides of the American sub-yuppie culture. The play, directed by Matt Gould, will run for a lunch-time season on July 31 to August 4, then for two nights, August 4 and 6, at the Ngaio Marsh Theatre.
