Teacher turns jeweller
Rob Cartwright, from Alexandra, spent 25 years teaching high school metalwork before going out on his own as a craftsman recently to work on metal and jewellery. An exhibition of his work is being held at the Bealey Gallery in Victoria Street until August 4. He produces a range of work, from silver and gold jewellery to pewter plates and small bowls.
