been completed in April. It had been two years in development and had cost $425,200.03. “This campaign has been deferred in the meantime,” said Mr Tapsell. In its place, part of a $1.5 million campaign by another advertising agency promoting awareness of community policing was to be run. Mr Peters said the original campaign had been “jettisoned” because of last month’s police cuts. Mr Tapsell said the two campaigns would have clashed, so the recruitment campaign was deferred.
