Stowaways adjust to life in N.Z.

PA Wellington Two East Africans who stowed away on a famine relief ship bound for New Zealand four years ago have adjusted to life in Auckland.

Andrew Godfrey Mhando, aged 25, is a home appliance repair technician in Mt Roskill and Sudi Sead Said, aged 19, is studying electronics at Auckland Technical Institute. They share a flat. The two boarded the ship Ngahere in East Africa in mid-1985. They were allowed to continue to New Zealand where they were given temporary residence permits.

These were extended until September, 1987, when the Government granted them permanent residence.
