League on today
The round of Canterbury rugby league premiership matches postponed last Saturday will be played at the Addington Show Grounds this evening. Addington meets Marist-Western Suburbs in the main game at 7.30 p.m. The other games are between Eastern Suburbs and Papanui (No. 1, 6 p.m.), Sydenham and Linwood (No. 2, 7.30 p.m.), and Kaiapoi and Hornby (No. 2, 6 p.m.). Marist-Western, five competition points clear with a game in hand over Addington and Linwood, can clinch outright possession of the Massetti Cup if it wins this evening.
