STRUCTURAL RESEARCH ENGINEER The Building Research Association of New Zealand (BRANZ) has a vacancy in its Fire i and Structural Engineering Group for a suitably qualified structural research < engineer. The successful applicant will be expected to provide information on structural 1 engineering matters to the building industry, including preparing publications ' and conducting seminars. The position also ( involves investigative research into the structural performance of buildings and ( their components, appraising new building products and processes and supervising and reporting on commissioned testing for ( clients. Applicants should preferably have an Honours or post-graduate degree in civil engineering and at least three years experience in building design and , construction as a structural engineer within the New Zealand building industry. They should have an interest in research and its application to the building industry. BRANZ is an independent, industry-backed research and testing organisation situated at Judgeford, 30km north of Wellington. Assistance will be available with removal costs, if required.
