• Leading Nelson »M>]l LH IvN Practice Through continued business development, one of Nelson’s leading legal firms is seeking to appoint two experienced solicitors to its senior staff. GENERAL PRACTITIONER Firstly, we are seeking a competent young solicitor with good all round technical proficiency, to practice in, and ultimately manage, the Richmond Office of the firm. We are seeking someone with experience in small business, conveyancing and family law work, who has good interpersonal skills and would be able to relate to a wide cross section of the community. The appointee will be able to develop an affinity with the rural community and be looking to partnership status within a short period. Technical back-up would be available from Nelson. The position will best suit someone who wishes to identify and grow with a developing community. FAMILY LAWYER Through increased workload the practice is also seeking to appoint a family lawyer with at least eighteen months District Court experience. This position is based in the main Nelson office and would suit someone who has a good grasp of family law, including matrimonial property law. Whilst it is anticipated the appointee will spend at least 50% of his/her time on family law work, there will also be the opportunity to develop in other areas of litigation. Age range for both positions is ideally in the 25-35 bracket and remuneration is attractive.
