U.S. CPI rise
United States consumer prices rose a modest 0.2 per cent in June, the smallest rise since February, 1988, the Labour Department said. A sharp drop in oil prices helped to cut the rate of inflation. The small increase, after a 0.6 per cent rise in May, also reflected more stable food prices and lower clothing costs.
