A tour report will recommend that future British Lions rugby tours to Australia be longer to allow adequate preparation for vital matches and finish with a test encounter. “We always knew this tour was going to be tough when we saw the itinerary,” said the Lions assistant manager and co-coach, lan McGeechan. He said the tour had been hard for his players, not just in games played, but in distances travelled.
