Public Notices Public Notices LOCAL RECREATION AND SPORT SCHEME OF THE HILLARY COMMISSION FOR RECREATION ANO SPORT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO RECREATION AND SPORTING ORGANISATIONS APPLICATIONS FOR SUBSIDIES, guarantees against loss and loans under the 1989/90 Local Recreation and Sport Scheme are now being invited by the local authorities listed below. A wide range of community groups and voluntary organisations concerned with the development of recreation opportunities and sporting activities may apply. This includes groups catering for arts, crafts, and cultural interests, as well as active sporting activities and more passive recreational pursuits. Application forms and further details of the scheme may be obtained from your local Council office where applications close on August 18, 1989. It must be emphasised to intending applicants that this invitation to apply for funding is issued in anticipation of the formal announcement of funding by the Hillary Commission and there is, at this stage, no assurance that this funding will be provided.
