Mr Art Shepherd and his wife, Mrs Blanche Shepherd, members of the Cathedral Squares Square and Round Dance Club, who recently received the Maestro Award, international recognition for teaching and calling round dancing. Mr Shepherd travelled to the United States in June to accept the award for himself and his wife from the International Association of Round Dance Callers. The award marked 25 years of association with round dancing. Mr and Mrs Shepherd also hold the Milestone Award for their contribution to square dancing. Only one other couple in the world have been given both awards.
