M.P.s welcome report
Christchurch members of Parliament have welcomed ideas for community involvement in health services outlined in the report to the Canterbury Area Health Board from its expenditure-reduction task force. Speaking for the M.P.S’ committee, Dr Peter Simpson (Labour, Lyttelton) said the report "offers the chance to improve services within the resources available.” Dr Simpson dismissed board claims that it had been underfunded by the Government.
