Stowaways to be deported
PA Tauranga Two Tongans who stowed away in a ship to New Zealand would be deported on Friday, an Immigration Service spokesman in Hamilton said yesterday. Mr Brent Lewis said the pair would fly to Tonga on Friday afternoon, bringing to an end their three-week stay in the
North Island. Sekona Felemi, aged 20, of Nukualofa, and Tio Vangina, aged 19, of Vavau, were found by a Mount Maunganui wharf worker on July 1. The pair had stowed away in the freighter Amer Shanti, which berthed at Tauranga the previous day.
