Challenge place lures broker
A Sydney money market broker has paid sAust3o,ooo for a chance to take part in the Nissan Celebrity Challenge at this year’s Australian Grand Prix meeting. Malcolm (“Spike”) Jones, aged 43, a director of an international brokerage, was the highest bidder for the once-in-a-lifetime drive in a Nissan EXA. The drive was auctioned at a recent charity golf day held for the Sydney financial market. Money raised during the day, including Mr Jones’s contribution, went to charities that included the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the St Vincent Hospital's bone marrow transplant unit.
