Another snowfall for field to open
The Porter Heights skifield needs only one more fall of snow before it can open, said the chairman of the company which runs- the ski-field last evening. Mr Rick Keeling said the 10cm to 30cm snow base was excellent, after a snow-making machine was used on Monday.
“We made some fantastic snow last night,” which proved that the machine could be used at the skifield, he said. The field would open “any day now” and services were ready.
