The Air Transport Division of the Ministry of Transport, located at 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt (Aviation House), has a vacancy for the following position. Technical Information Services Officer Vacancy No. A.T.D 89/14 The appointee will initially assist with the development of a new management plan for the Airworthiness Engineering Branch technical library. He or she will then have the challenging task of implementing that plan as manager of the library, assisted by part time staff as necessary. The ideal applicant will be a person with experience in managing a modern technical library having computer data base support and multiple source documents in both hard copy and microform. Familiarity with aircraft technology, while not essential, is highly desirable. Salary will be competitive and will be negotiated to reflect qualifications and experience.
