LINEHAM Acting General Manager WAIREWA COUNTY COUNCIL ANNUAL ESTIMATE AND NOTICE OF INTENTION TO LEVY RATES PURSUANT to Section 121 (3) of the Local Government Act, 1974 Public Notice is hereby given that the Estimates Receipts and Payments for the Wairewa County Council for the year ending March 31,1990 have been approved by the Council and copies are available for public inspection during normal office hours at the Wairewa County Council Office, Main Road, Little River. Public Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sectioin 110 of the Rating Powers Act, 1988 that it is the Intention of the Wairewa County Council at its ordinary meeting to be held at 10.15 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 1989, at the Council Chambers, Little River, to make and levy the following rates and charges for the period, April 1, 1989, to March 31, 1990. 1. A General Rate under Section 12 of the Rating Powers Act, 1988, of Decimal Eight Zero Eight Four (.8084) Cents in the Dollar on the Rateable Capital Value of all property appearing on the Valuation Roll of the Wairewa County Council. 2. Such Rates as directed (by way of Special Order) by the North Canterbury Catchment Board. The above Rates are to be for the financial year concluding on March 31,1990 and become due and payable in three instalments on: Instalment 1 — due date May 1, 1989, last day for payment (10 per cent penalty date) June 19, 1989. Instalment 2— due date September 1,1989, last day for payment (10 per cent penalty date) October, 19, 1989. Instalment 3 — due date January 1, 1990, last day for payment (10 per cent penalty date) February 19, 1990. Such payments to be made at the public offices of the Council at Little River where valuation rolls are now open for inspection during normal office hours. In terms of Section 132 of the Rating Powers Act, 1988, and its amendments, a penalty of ten per cent will be added to all rates which remain unpaid after the due date of each instalment providing however, should the first instalment not be paid, but the full years rates are paid at the time of receiving the second instalment notice, no penalty shall be paid on the unpaid first instalment. RESOLUTION 2- to amend By-law 37 (Eligibility of employees for appointment to local boards and boards of advice). The auditors have certified that the votes have been counted in accordance with AMP’s By-laws, and that the majority of 75% required for passing of these Resolutions as Special Resolutions has been obtained. Pursuant to By-law 14.6 I therefore declare both Resolutions carried. AMP’s By-laws ate thereby amended with effect from 24th May 1989. Supplies of the amended By-laws will now be printed, and a copy will be supplied to any. person who applies in writing to the Secretary at the address below, once copies become available from the printers.
