Wakeful Knight destroyed

The useful former northern galloper, Wakeful Knight, was put down recently after being injured in a track mishap at Riccarton. Wakeful Knight fell in the incident and his injuries were too severe for any chance of a recovery. He won two races from twenty-four starts, joining the stable of Tom Lalor early last year. He gained six minor placings and won almost $12,000.
