Vocal master classes

The principal vocal coach and assistant conductor of the New York Metropolitan Opera, Joan Dornemann, will give a series of Vocal Master Classes while she is in New Zealand to judge the Mobil Song Quest. The master classes are designed to allow . up-and-coming young New Zealand opera and operatic singers the experience of working with one of the world’s best vocal coaches. Television New Zealand will film the Wellington class

for its “Opus” programme. Tickets to the master classes are free from Radio New Zealand. First option will be given to young singers and their teachers. The format for all classes will be two hours singing and tuition, followed by 30 minutes of audience questions and answers.
