PA Wellington The clerical workers’ award is still in limbo, the Clerical Workers’ Association secretary, Mr John Slater, said yesterday. The union and employers have been locked in battle since November on clause 13 of the award, which stipulates that workers doing more than 30 hours a week are paid a full-time wage. The union wants the clause in and the employers want it out. Employers say the present clause can mean that an employer is unable to offer increased part-time hours to a worker because of the requirement to pay the full weekly wage once 30 hours is exceeded.
