Extradition refused
NZPA-Reuter Ankara Turkey said it had rejected a request by Moscow for the extradition of a wounded Soviet pilot who fled to Turkey in a frontline MiG-29 fighter after a dramatic shootout.
The Foreign Ministry said it had passed to the United States Embassy a request by the Soviet pilot captain, Alexander Zuyev, for political asylum in the United States.
