Wood 3000 years old

A coffee table fashioned from wood believed to be 3000 years old, was presented to Riccarton Borough Council this week. Amuri Corporation presented the table, believed to be of totara, to the

Mayor of Riccarton, Mr Dick Harrington. The presentation was in appreciation of the council’s support during the development of the Riccarton Business Park, in Mandeville Street, which the corporation owns.

It was made at the offices of The Design Team, one of the 3.6 ha park’s tenants. The table was made by a local firm, Mark White Furniture of timber, unearthed in past during construction of the park.
