Appeal widened
Chris Johnson’s appeal over the Godsin case has been widened and will be heard at Riccarton next Wednesday, June 7. Johnson originally appealed the severity of a three-day suspension for causing interference on Godsin to a number of other runners in the Brentwood Handicap at the Hororata meeting on May 13. Godsin was relegated from third to fourth. Johnson’s appeal now questions whether the suspension should have been incurred at all.
