Olympic bag taken
By NIGEL MALTHUS A Christchurch swimmer, Tony Beks, has had his New Zealand Olympic Games team bag stolen.
Beks, a 100 m breaststroker, represented New Zealand at the Seoul Olympic Games last year, when each team member was equipped with indivi-dually-numbered black team bags. , His bag, No. was from his
it was parked outside the Aquagym training pool in Tuam Street between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday.
The bag contained swimming togs, towels and clothing. “The main thing is, I want the bag back. It’s the only one like it,” said Beks.
Beks, aged 21, is in training for the 1990 Commonwealth Games.. )|,
