SQUASH Tristan Franklin continued his run of recent good wins by upsetting the top seed, Jason McLaughlan (Waimate), in the under 19 boys’ final of the Moro South Island junior squash championships in Christchurch.
The Sumner player overcame the setback of a twogame deficit to win 2-9, 8-10, 9-5, 9-3, 9-1. As expected, the Canterbury representative, Philippa Beams (Christchurch), had no trouble winning the main girls’ title, beating Judith Casbolt (Burnside), 9-2, 9-5, 9-0. More than 160 players con- -» tested the tournament at the Christchurch Squash Rackets Club courts.
