Mohair win
H. and E. A. Steele, of Glengary Angora Stud, Pleasant Point, have won the Wrightson Mohair Fleece of the Year award for 1989.
The contest drew 43 entries and was judged by senior classers from the Mohair Cashmere warehouse in Pukekohe. The judges said the standard of entries had improved since last year both in terms of lack of kemp and better style and character.
The Steeles’ winning entry scored 92 points out of 100.
