Kerrs in top spot

Dave and Jan Kerr have displaced Jeff Lynds from the top spot in the New Zealand Trainers’ Association Strike Rate Awards until the end of April racing. The Kerr’s ratio of winners to starters at that stage was close to three and is now below that after recent racing. Of the 10 current leaders in the competition eight are from the Central Districts or Canterbury, Roydon Bergerson and Mark Bailey being the leading trainers in the Canterbury area after the Kerr stable. Maurice Campbell is the leading trainer on averages in the Central Districts over Lynds, Dave and Diane Jones and Noel Eales.
