Aged input urged

Retired and elderly people have been urged to take part in the Going for Goals forum at Queen’s Birthday week-end.

Mr Michael Greene, a retired executive and a director of the Chamber of Commerce, says retired people have experience and wisdom to share and it is vital they take part in the planning forum.

In Memphis, the American city from which Christchurch has borrowed the Going for Goals concept, one initiative by the city’s Chamber of Commerce was the Service Core of Retired Executives, which acted as an advice service to fledgling companies.

Mr Greene is setting up a similar group in Christchurch.
