Douglas silent on Lange’s offer

The former Minister of Finance, Mr Roger Douglas, is still not commenting publicly on the promise by the Prime Minister, Mr Lange, that he will see if some compatibility exists between them. Mr Lange said he had given an undertaking to speak to Mr Douglas after a number of Government caucus members said they wanted an attempt made ; at reconciliation. But Mr Douglas, through his office, has declined to comment. He had by last evening not received any approach from Mr Lange.
