Ampolex ups stake
NZPA-Reuter Sydney Ampol Exploration (Ampolex) said it had bought an additional 15 per cent stake in Queensland oil permit ATP 299P(A) and associated production licences (PLs) 29, 38 and 39 to take its holding to. 37 per cent. It acquired the stake from Total Minatome Oil and Gas Australia Corp, Ampolex said. It will assume operatorship of the permit and licences from July 1, the first time it has been the operator in Australia.
The Cooper/E romanga Basin permit contains eight small fields which produce about 1000 bpd in all.
